The Firm

A private client and asset management firm built in Paris for Africa's leading families, and run the way such families expect.

About AfriOne

Who we are

AfriOne was founded in Paris in 2014 as a single office for families whose lives and interests run across borders. We advise on wealth, acquire and manage property and significant assets, and act as a standing representative for the practical matters that surround a family of consequence: banking relationships, negotiations, households, travel and the education of the next generation.

Our clients are Africa's leading families: entrepreneurs and industrialists, senior public figures, and diaspora investors who hold interests on the continent and in the international capitals. Most come to us by introduction. Many have worked with several advisors in several countries and want one office that holds the whole picture.

Every mandate is led by a senior partner who remains your single point of contact. Behind that partner sits the firm's network of licensed professionals, tax counsel, lawyers, surveyors, bankers and operators in each relevant jurisdiction, engaged wherever the work is regulated. You deal with one person. We coordinate the rest.

Principles

What we believe

Discretion as standard

Confidentiality is not a premium option. Every engagement begins with a written confidentiality agreement, and we can negotiate and acquire in our own name so that yours never enters the room until you choose.

Independence

We sell advice and execution, not products. The firm takes no commissions from banks, developers or dealers, so the only interest in our recommendation is yours.

Rigour

Due diligence comes before enthusiasm. Title, provenance, counterparties and pricing are verified independently before any capital moves, and we would rather lose a deal than skip a check.

Standards

Standards and conduct

We conduct due diligence on prospective clients before accepting a mandate, including verification of identity and source of funds, and we decline work that does not meet that standard. Every engagement complies with applicable law in each jurisdiction it touches, from French financial regulation to the local rules of every market where we act.

Where work is regulated, it is carried out by licensed counsel and licensed professionals engaged for that purpose: tax advisors, lawyers, brokers and operators in the relevant country. Mandates are set out in writing before work begins, and confidentiality is a matter of contract on both sides, not a courtesy.
