How we collect, use and protect the personal data entrusted to us.
Last updated: January 2026
This policy explains how AfriOne Assets Management SAS ("AfriOne", "we") processes personal data in connection with this website and our services. Discretion is central to how we work, and that begins with how we handle your information. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable French law.
We collect the information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, telephone number, country of residence and the content of any message you send through our enquiry form or by email. If you become a client, we collect the further information required to deliver our services and to meet our legal obligations, including identification documents and information on the source of funds where regulation requires it. We also collect limited technical data when you visit this website, such as pages viewed and general device information, as described in our cookie policy.
We use personal data to respond to enquiries, to provide and administer our services, to maintain client records, to meet legal and regulatory obligations including anti-money-laundering requirements, and to operate and secure this website. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing. Where our work requires the involvement of licensed professionals such as lawyers, notaries or tax counsel, we share only the information necessary for the engagement, under confidentiality obligations.
Under the GDPR we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering one, when we respond to enquiries and deliver services; compliance with legal obligations, for identification and record-keeping requirements; our legitimate interests, for the administration and security of the website and of our business, where those interests are not overridden by your rights; and your consent, where we ask for it, for example for optional analytics cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected. Enquiry correspondence that does not lead to an engagement is retained for a limited period and then deleted. Client records are retained for the duration of the relationship and afterwards for the periods required by French law and applicable regulation, after which they are securely destroyed.
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request erasure, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to receive your data in a portable format where the GDPR provides for it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in France this is the CNIL. We respond to rights requests within the timeframes the GDPR sets.
Questions about this policy or requests concerning your data may be sent to privacy@afrione.com or by post to AfriOne Assets Management SAS, 18 Avenue Montaigne, 75008 Paris, France. We may update this policy from time to time; the date above reflects the current version.
